About Ellen Lebitz

Ellen Lebitz is an AMI 6-12 trainer, mentor, and support resource for schools and teachers across the US and worldwide. She holds AMI 3-6 and 6-12 diplomas and has experience teaching at both levels.

With over 18 years in the classroom and 17 years as an education director, Ellen brings deep expertise. She has served on boards of schools, training centers, and community nonprofits.

Ellen has lectured internationally in South Africa, France, China, Taiwan, and the US. She currently directs 6-12 training through Montessori Northwest in Spokane, Washington, and AMI Montessori Chinese Taipei in Taiwan.

She earned a BA in Fine Art and an MA in Studio Art from the University at Albany (NY) and has extensive experience teaching art and handwork. Ellen delights in exploring arts and creativity, especially handcrafts and cookery. She lives with her family in rural northwest Washington State.
